INSTA-Expert allows users to find experts in the the field of health experts, life experts, relationship experts, career experts, finance experts and legal experts.

I built an expert app from inception to a final and interactive prototype that involved competitive analysis, user personas, journey maps, user flows, sketches, wireframes, prototypes, usability testing and high-fidelity revisions. Some of the tools used to complete this project involved Invision, Balsamiq, Marvel App, Lucidchart, Adobe XD and Google Suite.

To get started, I performed a competitive analysis on the different type of expert apps in the market, created user-personas, user journey maps, a mobile and a desktop design plan. The second phase involved creating sitemaps, user flows, hand sketches and digital wireframes for the mobile and desktop version. The third phase involved creating mid-fidelity prototypes on Balsamiq and conducting usability tests on participants for feedback and data. Based on the test results, I used affinity mapping to revise the designs on Adobe XD and created high-fidelity prototypes. The fourth phase involved further refining the high-fidelity prototypes by using principles of design thinking, emotional design for user engagement, designing reward interactions, developing a personality, grid spacing, responsive frameworks and following the iOS human interface guidelines to improve the UI for the app. Finally, the fifth phase included another round of user-feedback to revise the high-fidelity prototypes and polish the overall design.

Working on this project immersed me through the fundamentals of UX design, from identification of human needs and desires to a finished and marketable product. To experience the app firsthand or get a downloadable version of my project click on one of the links below.
